As you may have seen, our home fixture with Aston Villa has been moved from Saturday 23rd February to Sunday 24th, kick off 12:30pm.

I think it's important for supporters to know that we very much appreciate there is inconvenience involved in any fixture change.

We know that fans make arrangements around our fixtures, and we are fully aware of the inconvenience that can be caused when a game is moved, especially when there's a short space of time before the game is taking place.

I've already spoken to our supporters' group STAR about this game. I always like to do that because it's important to keep supporters as well informed as possible. STAR do a very good job in terms of getting that message across, and letting us know how our fans feel.

I think nowadays, everybody knows it's inevitable that games will be moved away from original kick-off times. The Premier League is a huge operation, and the exposure and finances mean that the moving of a game for TV purposes is ultimately for the good of the club.

Another important aspect to consider when a fixture is moved is how we communicate that change. Our website is the first place the news is announced, but we also appreciate that it's vital to get the details into other offline media like the matchday programme and local press, radio and TV outlets.

You may like to know that there's a free email Newsflash service from our official site, and we always send fixture changes out via that. To register, click here. That way, you're certain not to miss out.

I'd like to say again that we do appreciate any inconvenience caused when games are moved. It's now an inevitable part of life in the Premier League, and we certainly wouldn't want to be in any other division.

We'd also like to reaffirm that the TV companies have now made their selections for both February and March.
