Kickz is a unique partnership primarily between the Football Foundation, the Premier League, The Football League, the Metropolitan Police and police forces around the country.
The project is aimed at creating safer, stronger and more respectful communities through the development of young peoples' potential, using the hook of professional football clubs to engage young people aged 12-18. Activities engage participants from disadvantaged areas, guiding them towards better training, educational and social outcomes, while also encouraging volunteering in the community. As KICKZ has been highly successful the team is expanding to develop the project further.
The Foundation are looking to appoint two Project Managers and a Project Officer with experience in the fields of community sports development and social inclusion.
KICKZ PROJECT MANAGER (2 Posts)
£29,000 to £33,000 plus benefits
Post 1: Central London Post 2: North West England (Manchester Region)
The Project Manager will support the clubs and their local steering group partners to ensure the delivery of high standards expected within the KICKZ model. Key skills include planning and delivering outcome based social inclusion initiatives with a range of partners, along with a thorough understanding of the issues facing young people in challenging communities. The role will include regular site visits to review sessions as they take place.
KICKZ PROJECT OFFICER
£25,000 plus benefits
Central London
The Project Officer will give general support to the central KICKZ team and will also provide guidance on a range of central procedures to individual KICKZ clubs and their partners. The role will cover a range of aspects including marketing communications, staff training, administration, volunteer development and monitoring and evaluation.
