The Royals have agreed a partnership with Houston-based club Albion Hurricanes. We have a number of overseas partnerships, with more in the US, as well as France, Canada and Ireland.

Our Community Trust Manager Lee Herron explained, "This is a continuation of the work we have been doing overseas. The Hurricanes are a progressive and exciting club that very much fit in with our ethos.

"We have been over to visit, and will be sending more coaches in the summer to work alongside their management. It will be very much a two-way experience, it's education for both parties. We've been to other areas of the States - North Carolina, Atlanta, New Jersey and now Texas."

Ivan Gonzalez of the Hurricanes added, "The partnership is an outstanding opportunity for the players and club alike. This English Premier League team will now be a part of our club and community and will allow our players to grow and gain recognition throughout Houston and the state of Texas.

"One of the many benefits of this partnership is for the players of Albion Hurricanes FC to go overseas and experience the English style of play taught by the Reading FC staff. My team will greatly benefit from this privilege because it will develop us both techniquely and tactically.

"For over a year now, our team has strived to become tactical and powerful players. We have worked long hours to accomplish our goal of playing to the best of our ability, and this partnership will take us to the next level. We will also use this experience to grow as a more focused and bonded team. As we create a better team structure, we will create better players who will have a better chance of getting into colleges and competing at the professional level.

"As a proud soccer player in Albion Hurricanes FC, I am personally excited for this tremendous opportunity as I will be exposed to different soccer techniques that will improve me as a player. This privilege does not happen to many players, and personally, I will use this partnership to help me become a professional soccer player."
