Availability of tickets
Around 2,500 tickets are available on a match-by-match basis for Barclays Premier League fixtures. The remainder are allocated to season ticket holders and away supporters.
The vast majority of the 2,500 tickets are sold based on the number of Royalty Points you have. Click here for details of how to acquire points. The bigger the game, the more points you are likely to need.
Royalty Points are accumulated by buying tickets for games using a Member Card. If you do not have a Member Card then you can register online. Cards cost £2 adults and £1 concessions.
Methods of buying tickets
There are three methods you can use to buy tickets, assuming you have the required Royalty Points for the tickets you want.
In the official online ticketing service here at readingfc.co.uk
By phone on 0870 999 1871 - click here for opening hours

How to change your Season Ticket seat for a match
You can change your season ticket seat ONLY if you are buying tickets for other people and you want to sit with them. The other people must have the required number of Royalty points for the game. Contact the Sales Centre at least seven days in advance of the match.
How to upgrade a concession season ticket
Contact the Sales Centre with the customer number on the concession Member Card. Pay the appropriate fee and this concession Member Card can now be used by an adult. Maximum three times per season.
Matchday reprints of cards/tickets
In line with our continual improvement programme we have recently made a change to our policy with regards to reprinting season tickets, Member Cards and match tickets on a matchday.
If your season ticket or Member Card has been mislaid please contact the Sales Centre in advance by emailing memberservices@readingfc.co.uk or telephoning 0870 999 1871. This should be done at least 48 hours in advance of the matchday.
Paper match tickets - Anyone forgetting their match tickets will have to wait until kick off for a reprint and in addition will have to complete a reprint request form giving the necessary details.
The credit/debit card used to book the tickets must also be produced. A reprint will only be done if the original ticket has not been used to enter the stadium. The reprint charge is £2 adults / £1 concession per paper match ticket.
Season tickets & Member Cards - Anyone forgetting their season ticket or Member Card is able to get a reprint, however you will be asked to wait until kick off has taken place. The card will be checked to ensure that no-one has entered the stadium with that Season Ticket / Member Card.
The current reprint charge is £10 adults and £3 concessions per card and the original card/s will be cancelled. The new card/s will have the same Customer Number as before. Your old card should then be destroyed.
Points
Please note that season ticket holders cannot use their Royalty Points to purchase additional tickets for home games.
Membership applications
If you would like to apply for a Member Card you can click here to download the application form. You can then deliver it in person, fax to 0870 999 1001 or post to Member Card Application, Sales Centre, Madejski Stadium, Junction 11, M4, Reading, Berkshire, RG2 0FL.
Important information
We do not sanction the third party sale of any match tickets, whether for home or away fans.
A number of agencies do try to obtain tickets and then sell them on at inflated prices, but these agencies are unlicensed and we are taking measures to prevent them from obtaining tickets.
To help ensure that tickets remain in the hands of genuine supporters, the purchase of Barclays Premier League tickets on general sale is restricted to Member Card holders only.
We would like to stress again that we do not use any ticketing agencies, and the Madejski Stadium Sales Centre or the official website is the only place to buy tickets for both home and away games.

Buyback scheme
As part of our ongoing review of the Club's ticketing operations, it has been decided that we will not be able to offer a 'buyback' option to season ticket holders at the moment.
Having evaluated the available solutions, we are not confident than any of them would provide an efficient and workable service for season ticket holders.
Although we had publicly stated that a buyback scheme would be in place, we have seriously evaluated all the options and do not feel they meet the rigorous standards of service that we would want to offer our season ticket holders.
Introducing a buyback scheme is something we would like to do in the future, and we are working hard to develop a workable solution.
