Former Brentford boss who joined the Royals in the summer of 2004 and predominantly looks after defensive coaching duties at the Club.

Formerly number two to Steve Coppell at Brentford before taking over in the Griffin Park hotseat in 2002.

Had more than 15 years in the game with Wimbledon and Sheffield United, being an integral part of the Dons' Crazy Gang before leaving just before their FA Cup Final appearance in 1988.

Not long after signing for Sheffield United he was forced to retire, and went straight into coaching with Crystal Palace before working his way up the ladder.

He left Griffin Park in 2004 and was replaced by ex-Royal Martin Allen. He soon began helping Steve Coppell on an informal basis and is now a full-time member of the Royals coaching staff.
