Doyle - It's not doom and gloom
Kevin Doyle was not too disheartened following our defeat at Blackburn on Saturday.
The Royals faced a Rovers team containing some top players with experience at the very highest level, and Mark Hughes' men deservedly took all three points.
We put up something of a comeback in the second half, and Doyle helped himself to two goals after coming off the bench.
Speaking to Reading World, Kevin said, "We looked solid in the first few minutes, but then they worked around us and figured us out.
"We had people in new positions, we struggled a bit but when we changed to 4-4-2 we came into it.
"We were creating chances then.
"The manager said to us to win the second half, and we did.
"Most of the teams around us lost, so that was a bonus.
"It's not doom and gloom, we just try to win our next home game now.
"I said last week that when I get one goal I sometimes get a few on the run, and that's what happened.
"Shorey picked me out with two crosses, but it didn't make that much of a difference to the outcome so it's not really that much of a bonus."
