Wally Downes has asked loyal Royals to give the person next to them a friendly nudge!

Our first team coach is hoping for a cracking atmosphere against Villa on Sunday, and wants both players and supporters to play their part by helping each other.

He said, "We were a bit tentative against Bolton and so were the fans.

"Sometimes that can creep into each other's mood, and it's a catch 22 situation.

"But if you're one of the fans who sings at a game, make sure you nudge the fella next to you and get him singing as well, let's get it going right around the ground.

"That's what is required at the moment, we need the help of everyone.

The players need to encourage the fans with their play and the fans need to get behind the players.

"It needs to be a real joint effort between us to get as many points as we can now in the final run-in."

Sunday's game will have a blue and white theme after a 'Keepy Uppy' project was launched by the Reading Evening Post.
