Royals defender Alan Bennett has agreed to join League Two side Brentford on loan.

Alan is a 26-year-old centre half who signed from Cork City fourteen months ago. He still awaits his Royals debut, but was on the bench for our first team during the away defeat to Chelsea in January.

He spent a number of months on loan at Southampton this season, and he is a full Irish international, having played during a post-season tour of American last year.

He joins Royals keeper Ben Hamer on loan at Griffin Park. We now have a total of 13 players out on loan, with the others as follows:
