Nicky Shorey says there is a feelgood factor among the players at the moment, and he is confident about our chances of getting a result at Liverpool this Saturday.

With two straight wins under their belts, the squad go to Anfield in fine fettle and with a spring in their step. Nicky said, "We feel we can get a result anywhere, especially off the back of two wins.

"If we didn't have those results we'd be going there as lambs to the slaughter, but now we go there in a positive mood. We showed we can deal with them when they came here earlier in the season and we won't be scared of them.

"The feelgood factor is really important coming to this stage of the season. What you really need now is that confidence to try and get on a run. We've had two wins, but now it's Liverpool away and everyone knows how tough that will be.

"Going in the Boro game we were still relaxed and confident that we could get ourselves out of this position, but when you actually get the wins it makes you play more freely.

"I don't think we played really well against City but we put a couple of good moves together that got us the goals and defended well as a team. That was the main thing.

"It's vital for us not to take our foot off the gas. We said after Boro that the win would mean nothing if we didn't get a result against City. And to get the win was really good.

"We've gone into the last two games with the determination to keep a clean sheet. We know that if we do that we can let the attacking players get on with it at the other end. That's what they've done.

"At the moment, you can jump so many places but drop so many if you lose the next week. So we're not getting carried away. We know we have to back up the two wins with more positive performances."
