Two years ago today, the Royals secured promotion to the Premiership for the very first time in their 135-year history.

Our 1-1 draw at Leicester City was enough to send us into the top flight, with Kevin Doyle scoring our equaliser.

With Leeds failing to beat Stoke and Watford losing to Millwall, we went 20 points clear of third place with seven games to play. You can see the league table as it was here.

A free one-minute video clip from our video diaries of the day is available here. Our online TV station Reading World has almost an hour of exclusive video from that day, following every step of the way, from the game itself to the post-match celebrations, in the dressing room and on the bus home

We have today launched a new picture gallery featuring our best photos from the day - take a look here.

Seven days later we secured the Championship title by hammering Derby 5-0 at home, and we ended the campaign with a record 106 points, losing just two games and scoring an incredible 99 goals.

We set dozens of records during that season, and a full list of them all is available here in our history section.

Our Champions souvenir book from that season is just £5 in our online shop.
