Liam Rosenior says he is becoming more and more at home with every game he plays in a Reading shirt.

The 23-year-old has played the last five games at right back, and has been a model of consistency.

It represents his first run in the team at his natural position in defence, and he has helped us pick up three wins and a draw in our last five Barclays Premier League outings.

He told readingfc.co.uk, "I feel settled in the team. I've waited a long time for my chance because Murts has done well, he's a big player here at Reading.

"It's up to me to keep hold of the shirt. The more clean sheets the better, it means I'm doing my job and the back four as a whole is doing its job for the team.

"I want to do better though, I've got things I want to improve on. I want to be a better player, and you can only do that by playing in the first team."

Liam was happy with the result against Blackburn at home last week, and said it was a good building block.

He said, "It was definitely a point gained. Every point is massive for us. We've got ten points from four, which is fantastic, and if we can keep that up we'll be fine."

Rosenior was in a very good position to comment on Marek Matejovsky's sending off, having made the tackle on Jason Roberts just seconds earlier.

He commented, "I was a bit disappointed with myself, I thought I'd won the tackle. It rebounded off Roberts, then he toed it and Marek can't get out of the way. It's a tough one, he's clearly going for the ball."
