Ivar: We need more points
Ivar Ingimarsson says the Royals need more points to be certain of their future in the Barclays Premier League.
We take on Fulham at Madejski Stadium this weekend, and a win could take us nine points clear of the drop with only four more games to go this season.
The Icelander is keen to ensure safety as soon as possible, and is looking for a good performance.
He told readingfc.co.uk, "I feel good, I'm looking forward to the game. There aren't many games left so it's very important to get more points for the team.
"We've been training the same as normal, but we know how important this game is. We need more points.
"Right now it's in our own hands, and that's the way we want it. We need to win because then we're not relying on others.
"Last week at Newcastle was a poor game on our behalf. It's the way the Premiership is, because if you're not close to 100%, you struggle.
"Even if we started well, over 90-odd minutes it wasn't good enough. We have to do better.
"The form had been quite good before then, it was a best spell for a long time and we can remind people of that.
"We had some good results and hopefully we can do the same against Fulham."
Saturday's game is fully sold out, but you can listen in full live on Reading World.
