Alan Pardew has thanked striker Leroy Lita for his contribution while on loan at Charlton.

The frontman scored three goals in eight starts for the Addicks, and did his utmost to try and put Pardew's men into the Championship play-off picture.

Pardew told cafc.co.uk, "Given we can no longer make the play-offs and Reading's situation, Steve Coppell has decided to take Leroy back, but I'd like to thank him for his efforts for the club.

"Unfortunately, we fell short this season, but that had little to do with Leroy, and he gave everything for the club during his time here."

Leroy is eligible to feature in our final three games of this season, starting with Saturday's trip to Wigan Athletic, the ground on which he made his first Premier League start for the Royals back in August 2006.

Supporters coach travel to the JJB Stadium is only £5 - go to www.star-reading.org for full details.

Subscribers to Reading World can watch all three of Leroy's goals in a Charlton shirt in our Loans section now.
