Our women's team goes into Sunday's home game with Plymouth knowing that a win would clinch the South West Combination title, and a second successive promotion.

Our ladies are in staggering form, having won their last seven league games without conceding a goal, scoring a whopping 32 goals in the process.

Sunday's opponents Plymouth are the only team who can catch us, and they are 12 points behind but with three games in hand.

A victory for them would put them back in the hunt for the league, and Sunday's game at Didcot Town, kick off 2pm, is vital for both sides.

Director Of Women's Football Lee Herron said, "These are very exciting times for women's football at Reading FC.

"We are really looking forward to Sunday's game, it's been a fantastic season but we have to make sure we finish it off in a professional manner.

"Plymouth are a good side, they've been in this league for a long time. We drew 1-1 with them earlier in the season and it will be tight this time as well.

"I'd like to urge everyone to try to come along to support the team on Sunday and hopefully see all their hard work come to fruition."

Entry to the game is free.
