Steve Coppell says now is the time for everybody associated with Reading Football Club to start performing again.

With three games remaining in our Barclays Premier League season, our future is in our own hands.

Three victories would guarantee survival, starting with Saturday's trip to Wigan Athletic.

Speaking to our online TV station Reading World, Steve said, "Now is the time for people to perform, and that means me, the team, the supporters. We have to put it in in order get things back at the moment.

"You can talk about six pointers, but it shouldn't alter your approach to a game. If you're already going flat out, you can't put more in.

"There are three games left, who knows which way it will go? There are different challenges for a number of sides.

"Wigan are a big strong outfit. They are physically strong, they have some big players.

"I know they will put a lot of emphasis on this game. But how can you put more into one game than another, does it mean more? From their point of view maybe it will.

"At the moment there are a number of games where teams who put all their eggs in one basket have not delivered. We had it at home to Fulham, who had it at home to Sunderland.

"If you think the enormity of the result should carry you through, it rarely does. I just know we have to be well prepared and ready to play."

The boss made six changes at Arsenal last week, and he will change his line-up once again. "Before last week I said there are four games and they're all different. No one team covers them all. I'll be chopping and changing, and there will be changes this week."

Leroy Lita is in the squad, and Coppell says the striker has had a 'mentality shift' after coming back from an eight-game loan at Charlton, where he scored three goals.

Glen Little will also travel, but Jimmy Kebe is doubtful. Brynjar Gunnarsson has had another injection in his groin and faces a tough task to play before the season is up.

Wigan expect to have Emile Heskey and Marcus Bent fit after coming off in the 1-1 draw with Spurs last weekend.
