Steve Coppell has pledged that his team will continue to give absolutely everything in the final two matches of this Barclays Premier League season.

With Tottenham and Derby County our last two opponents, back-to-back victories would guarantee our survival come the end of the season.

Steve knows his players' commitment will continue to the bitter end and said, "Whatever happens this year, I know I've got a group of players giving their all for the club. I have never questioned it.

"We might not be the best, or be playing at our best, but we will have a go. That will continue in the remaining two games."

The Royals have not scored in more than five games, with Andre Bikey's late winner against Birmingham the last time we found the back of the net.

Steve admits he is unhappy with our end product in front goal, and said, "I've not added up how long it's been, but people tell me. It a concern, we need to score to win and we will work on it this week.

"We've not always been fluent in front of goal and we'll try to get sharper and better. We're not creating enough, it's a team thing. Maybe there's a little bit of tightness in our play."

Meanwhile, Coppell has backed Liverpool manager Rafa Benitez after the Spaniard made nine changes to his starting XI for their 2-2 draw at Birmingham on Saturday.

Benitez has come in for some criticism, but Steve says it is unfair. "You look at the depth they have and sometimes maybe it's of benefit to us because they're bringing fresh people in with a point to prove.

"The players had the prospect of a Champions League final so they won't have been going through the motions. I will always say I have faith in the integrity of the league, and that has proved to be the case again."
