The Reading FC women's team have been crowned champions of the South West Combination, and earned a second successive promotion.

Our ladies defeated Plymouth 3-1 at home on Sunday afternoon, and thereby ensured they will finish top.

Goals from Laura Woodley, Rachel Fell and Kayleigh Hines put Frank Rodriguez's team 3-0 up, and although Argyle pulled one back, we stood firm for victory.

Our women's team have only been together for two seasons now, and have secured promotion on both occasions.

Next season they will play one league below the top flight. Opponents in next season's league include the likes of Cardiff, West Ham United and Charlton Athletic.
