The Royals cannot know their Barclays Premier League fate until after the final game of the season away to Derby.

Regardless of any combination of results this weekend, our survival battle is guaranteed to go until we play at Pride Park.

Fulham's win over Man City this past weekend put them within three points of us, and takes the dogfight until the final day on Sunday 11th May.

Roy Hodgson's men play Birmingham this weekend, so at least one of them is guaranteed points. Only one of them could be relegated this Saturday, but not both, meaning that we cannot be safe until after our game with the Rams.

Fulham will be relegated if they lose or draw while both the Royals beat Tottenham and Bolton see off Sunderland at home. Birmingham can go down if they lose at Craven Cottage while Reading and Bolton both win.

Whatever happens, two wins for us would 100% guarantee our Premier League survival, and that is all boss Steve Coppell is focused on.

He said, "We can't do anything about other results. All we can affect is our own performance, and we do what we can.

"We all knew it would go to the final two games, and so be it. We're prepared to play until the end of the 38-game season, we've got to do it now."

"We don't set targets, we'll just go flat out for 180 minutes. We've got 15 days to prepare for two games so we can't complain on that front.

"I've got to trust the players. With 15 days to go you can't transform things. The players take ownership of it and be excited by it. It's a great challenge, it's the best league in the world and we love being here."

Both of our final two games are completely sold out, and we will have the full support of our loyal Royals both home and away.
