Ivar Ingimarsson is upbeat about this Saturday's game with Tottenham Hotspur, and his confidence is based on his trust for the rest of his Reading teammates.

A win against Spurs would be a huge lift in our bid to avoid relegation, and while Ivar knows it is a difficult fixture, he has belief in the Royals.

He told Reading World, "I feel fine about it because it's a game at home and it's in our own hands. If it doesn't go right we can only blame ourselves.

"I'm confident we can show up, perform well and get the result, I honestly believe so. I've got no problems with being in this position, we can deal with and we'll be raring to go."

The Royals received great backing at Wigan on Saturday, and there will be a full house when we host Juande Ramos' men this coming weekend.

Ivar said, "The people were there and we could really feel them backing us all the way, it's what we need. All of us, the players, we need to be all together, it's easy to criticise and be the wise man.

"In these situations we have to stick together, we have to do our best to stay in the league and I think we will do that."

Ivar was impressed with Leroy Lita's contribution at Wigan on Saturday, saying, "He did really well. He had a spell when he wasn't playing, but it was good for him going out, playing and scoring goals.

"It had done him good to get that feeling again.

"He's come back with a perfect attitude, and he put a really good shift in at Wigan."
