The Reading FC player of the season 2007/8 will be announced before Saturday's game at home to Tottenham Hotspur.

Voting has now closed, and the final tally is being confirmed.

The top three players, in no particular order, will be revealed here on the official website and in the Reading Chronicle this Thursday.

The winner will then be presented with his award out on the pitch at around 2:45pm on Saturday afternoon.

Later this week we will also confirm prize winners, and thank you to everybody who voted.

Last season's winner was Ivar Ingimarsson, followed by Nicky Shorey, Stephen Hunt and then Kevin Doyle.
