Gus Poyet expects a difficult game against Reading this weekend, but does not anticipate another ten-goal thriller!

Earlier in the season the two teams played out an incredible 6-4 at White Hart Lane, with the Royals coming from behind to lead on three separate occasions, but Spurs eventually winning thanks to four goals from Bulgarian frontman Dimitar Berbatov.

Poyet recalled, "I remember standing on the touchline thinking 'what is going on?', it was crazy. Every time we did something, they came back. Goals were going in, Berba was scoring for fun, just crazy.

"This is a different game. If you look at the table, Reading need to win and they can't rely on other results so maybe it will be a little more open than our last few games [in which we've drawn four on the spin.]

"Our matches against Reading have had goals and chances but I hope it's not another crazy 6-4!"

"Okay, yes, we would take a 6-4 win, but I don't think that will happen again!

"We have to expect them to come out hard, to look to go forward and it's up to us to produce our quality. We just want to go there and perform.

"We've started our last few games well, we've been in control, we've been in front and we want to get the ball down and play."
