Liam Rosenior admits he thought he had scored in the second half against Spurs at the weekend.

The right back looked certain to score inside the last ten minutes, but saw his deflected strike parried away by Radek Cerny in the Tottenham goal.

Liam told readingfc.co.uk, "The keeper made a fantastic save from me, and I didn't even look, I thought it was in.

"That's what happens in this division, you're playing against the best in the world. I want to keep doing that, keep improving and if we win at Derby we can do that.

"In the first half Spurs played like they were carefree, they were outstanding at retaining the ball, it was hard to get close and they deserved the lead.

"Spurs can do that to any team. They've done it to Arsenal and Man Utd. They're a fantastic team, and on such a good pitch it suited them.

"Once we got in the dressing room at half time we said we had to stay in the game. Our forwards looked bright, and when you're not scoring maybe you take that extra care when normally you'd have a go.

"The fans were fantastic, they were positive and after the game they appreciated the effort, we were on the front foot.

"If we win at Derby we've still got a fantastic chance of staying in this league.

"It doesn't matter who our last game is against. People said to me it'd be a guaranteed home win against Spurs but they went out and expressed themselves.

"Derby will want to end on a high, now it's up to us to go there and make sure that doesn't happen."
