As we approach this final weekend of the season, Steve Coppell says he trusts the integrity of the Barclays Premier League and knows all teams involved will be giving 100%.

Fulham go to Portsmouth needing a win to be certain of safety, and Pompey boss Harry Redknapp has said he will treat the game with full respect, even though they have the FA Cup final at Wembley six days later.

Coppell told Reading World, "I trust the integrity of the league. I know Derby will be flat out, Portsmouth, Blackburn too, I have great faith in all the managers.

"Portsmouth have the cup final a week after but for me, I know you'd want to go into a cup final with a win before it.

"You don't want a losing run, because to use the football phrase you can't switch it on and off."

Steve will not be going out of his way to stay in touch with other games on Sunday afternoon, simply because people around him will keep him informed.

"You can't avoid the other results, it's impossible. But with experience you know about rumours elsewhere and you don't know what's true.

"First of all, we concentrate on us because other results only matter if we're in a position to win, simple."
