Glen Little is fully expected to be fit for the start of pre-season training this summer.

The winger missed the final two games of the season with a calf problem, but should be fine to join in with the rest of the squad when they return to Hogwood at the end of June.

Physio Jon Fearn told readingfc.co.uk, "Glen is progessing well with his calf.

"He was so keen to give himself every chance for Derby that he aggravated it slightly and it was a little setback.

"He's well on the road to recovery and we don't expect any problems in terms of pre-season. He will continue to work with us throughout the holidays."

Glen has been offered a new contract with the Royals after his previous deal came to a conclusion at the end of 2007/8.

Earlier this week Jon also confirmed that Marcus Hahnemann should be fine for pre-season after having an operation in his hand to remove metal plates.
