Steve Coppell has told his players that the biggest determining factor in the outcome of the forthcoming season will be their mental attitude.

Speaking on the first day of pre-season training, Steve said, "I've just said to the players that a team's success is built on ability and attitude.

"I feel we have the necessary ability, but our attitude will be tested this season.

"Once we start playing games, the attitude and desire of this squad will quickly become very apparent."

As the players embarked upon a light training session, Steve smiled, "It's good to be back.

"After last season we had a period of mourning and analysis but now we're looking forward to the new campaign.

"We've been planning at the training ground for the last few weeks and now we're ready to get into the routine of preparing for and playing games."
