Federici named in Australia Olympic squad
Adam Federici has been named in Australia's squad for the Olympics in Beijing.
The 23-year-old has been confirmed as one of the two keepers in the Socceroos' 18-man squad, and is now set to miss the start of the Royals' season.
The Aussies face a tough task to progress as they have been named in the same group as Ivory Coast, Serbia and Argentina - who have included Javier Mascherano and Lionel Messi in their squad.
Australia's last group game, against Ivory Coast, takes place on Wednesday 13th August, so if they are eliminated Federici would be back in time for our first home game, against Plymouth on Saturday 16th August.
Andre Bikey could also be travelling to the Games if he is called up by Cameroon, who have not yet named their squad.
