The Royals' youngsters will begin their 2008/9 National Academy League season with a long trip to Huddersfield on Saturday 23rd August.

A highlight of the calendar for Eamonn Dolan's team is meetings with Chelsea and Arsenal in consecutive weeks in the middle of September, while the campaign finishes with consecutive home fixtures against Southampton and Charlton.

The fixture list for the Reading FC Women's team has also been announced, and they start with a home clash against Sunderland.

Our ladies have bizarrely been placed in the Northern section of the national second tier, and face long trips to Preston, Newcastle and Rotherham in successive weeks in November.

The Royals' women will be aiming to climb into the top flight by racking up their third consecutive promotion after enjoying two sensational seasons.
