Murty chuffed with brand new kit
Royals skipper Graeme Murty was delighted to parade the new Royals home strip in front of fans, friends and the cameras at the launch this afternoon.
"It's lovely isn't it. I like it!" he told our official online TV station Reading World.
"It's smart and ventilated well at the back for us. It's very, very nice.
"White shorts is a change. In the time that I've been here we've had a little switch up between blue and white now and again.
"I think we've got blue shorts that we can wear with the home shirt as well and the white shorts will look really good with the orange away strip too.
"I'm sure Ronny Grant will have a few little connotations that he'll want to go through."
A gold trim has been added to the home shirt to mark a decade at Madejski Stadium - ten years which Murts has spent solely at Reading.
"The gold comes out really well and some would say it matches my teeth!
"It's a really nice touch. I think the numbers are going to be in gold as well and I think the fans will like it when they get to see it in the flesh."
"I like the away kit as well and supporters will get to see the new away kit at Didcot tomorrow. And you're not going to miss us in bright orange are you?
"I think the manager wnats something to contrast with his golf gear so if we get any brighter than this I think the manager needs to take a long hard look at his golf attire!"
