End of the road for Vasilev
Young Royals striker Radoslav Vasilev has suffered a disappointing group stage exit with Bulgaria in the UEFA u19s Championships.
Vasilev, 17, missed the first game against Hungary through suspension, and was forced to watch his country go down 1-0 thanks to a goal from Liverpool's Krisztian Nemeth.
He came straight back into the team for the second match, but they were knocked out by a thumping 3-0 defeat to Germany in which he played 66 minutes.
In the final game they were beaten 4-0 by holders Spain, and he played 58 minutes of the game in Prague.
Vasilev joined the Royals back in December from Slavia Sofia, and played a number of games for our under 18s and reserves last season.
He will now return to Reading and join in with our Academy squad for their pre-season campaign.
