Talented England youth international left back who signed for an undisclosed six-figure fee in January 2006. Scott came through the ranks at hometown club Bristol City, and made his first team debut at just 16.
He started the 2005/6 season as a regular in the first team squad, but injury then kept him out of action or some time, and he was on the fringes of the squad when Reading stepped in for him during the transfer window.
The Royals had been watching him for some time, and an impressive performance for the City youth side in the FA Youth Cup helped secure him a move. He picked up the League One Apprentice Of 2005 Award for his exploits at Ashton Gate.
Made his debut as a substitute in a 3-1 win at home to Stoke City in April, and then lined up in the FA Cup against Burnley in 2006/7 for his full debut.
Enjoyed a loan at Wycombe until the end of the season, earning a regular place in Paul Lambert's team.
Made his Premier League debut in a 3-0 defeat at Bolton Wanderers in August 2007.
