Czech Republic international midfielder who joined the Royals in January 2008 for an undisclosed fee from Mlada Boleslav.
Reading manager Steve Coppell had been tracking Marek for around a year, who is normally a central midfielder but can also play wide.
He signed a deal until the summer of 2011.
Prior to his move to Reading, Marek had six full Czech international caps to his name, and scored his first senior goal against Germany in October 2007.
