Royals Senior Assistant Academy Manager Geoff Warner is looking forward to welcoming back the Club's young players for pre-season training.

The youngsters will report for duty in July, and have an exciting schedule of pre-season fixtures lined up.

Geoff, who oversees the development of our under 7s to under 14s, said, "Our under 15s are taking part in the Milk Cup in Belfast at the end of July.

"The draw hasn't been made yet but clubs from all over the world will be taking part and it's one of the biggest youth tournaments in the world, so it will be a great learning experience for our players.

"We were invited on the back of our impressive performance in the Nike Cup in the spring when we reached the semi-finals, so it's a mark of our growing stature within the game.

"The under 16s are going to Norway in early August and will play some leading Norwegian teams - we've visited Norway in the past and always felt it has been a very worthwhile place to go.

"Our new under 9s are looking good and will be playing in the Watford International Tournament at the end of July, which will be the first time they've represented the club in any competitive games. Our under 10s and 11s will also be competing there."
