Our Academy will bring in 12 new scholars this summer.

The dozen will all become full-time with the Club after leaving school at the end of their GCSEs.

They will continue their education while with the Royals, and train every day at Hogwood Park.

The players are: Andrew White, Jacob Walcott, Rhys Tyler, Jake Taylor, Alex Stockinger, Michael Pritchard (GK), Jack Mills, Simon Locke (GK), Oliver Kelly, Simon Cox, Tom Browne and Abdulai Baggie.

There are a number of youth internationals in this group, with Baggie, Browne, Mills and Walcott having all lined up for England u16s. Stockinger has played for Norway youth, while Kelly has been called up by Ireland.

Kelly is the younger brother of Julian Kelly, a promising full back for our u18s and reserves. Walcott is not related to Arsenal's Newbury-born starlet Theo.
