Saturday's game with Sunderland is nearly sold out, with just 250 tickets remaining at 10am on Tuesday morning.

The clash with Roy Keane's Black Cats is being billed as a crucial encounter as both teams strive to make a good start to the Christmas period, and it looks set to be another Madejski Stadium sell-out.

Tickets are also selling well for the New Year's Day game against Portsmouth, with less than 1,000 seats remaining.

The Royals will be aiming to start 2008 in a similar vein to their last New Year's Day performance, following a 6-0 thrashing of West Ham on the opening day of 2007.

It will also be a chance to avenge Harry Redknapp's men for a bizarre 7-4 defeat at Fratton Park earlier in the season - the highest-scoring game in Premier League history.

Tickets are on general sale to all Member Card holders now, with prices starting at £11 for under 12s and £32 for adults.
