The deadline for season ticket renewals passed on Friday evening with a final total of 11,762 supporters renewing their seats.

Royals Chairman John Madejski told readingfc.co.uk, "We are delighted that so many season ticket holders have renewed their seats and we are extremely grateful to all those fans for showing their loyalty.

"Since the end of last season we have been repeatedly impressed by the backing we have received - starting with the campaign to keep Steve Coppell at the Club - and this figure is another illustration of that support.

"At the start of our last season in the Championship we had less than 8,500 season ticket holders, which demonstrates how our fanbase has continued to grow in the last few years.

"Next week we will be accepting new season ticket applications so the final total will be even higher.

"It all bodes well for an exciting season because our supporters have an extremely important role to play in our quest for another promotion."

Later this week season ticket holders will have the opportunity to move their seats, before remaining seats go on general sale at the start of next week.

Seat moves will be available from 10am on Wednesday 25th June until midday on Saturday 28th June. Moves can be made by calling 0844 249 1871 or in person at the Ticket Office (neither method has a priority or advantage over the other).

Personal callers to the Ticket Office are advised it will not be possible to view seats inside the stadium bowl and all seat moves are charged at £3 per seat to cover the cost of a new card.

It is important to remember it is not possible to guarantee any move and availability is constantly subject to change.

New Season Ticket Sales will be begin on Monday 30th June. Seats will be subject to availability and are charged at a £20 premium against renewal prices.
